Some Family (as in a portion of)

This is a picture of my children, Chad and Morgan and my brothers children. My brother and his wife has been blessed with a couple more children then we have, can you tell which belong to who? See the big one in the corner? He is now a missionary! We met up with my brothers family the evening before my nephew entered the MTC, Missionary Training Center. He is serving a mission in Mexico for the next 2 years. He will be in the MTC for at least 9 weeks to learn Spanish, then he will go and serve the people of Mexico.

I recently received two separate correspondences from him. The first was an email sent to his parents, and they kindly forwarded to family. What a great way to keep us all in the loop. That very same day we received a hand written letter in the mail. The kids like that one even more. Elder Wertner asks about them specifically and shares some fun thoughts with them. What a blessing to have a cousin influencing them in such a good way. This is only the second missionary in our family so it is still so fun and exciting for all of us.

Well in the email he asks for prayers, because they are having trouble getting visas to Mexico. He not only asks for prayers for himself, but for his whole district. So please do that for him and his companions if you are inclined.

He shared "his favorite" scripture with us. I think he is studying his scriptures so much these days that his favorites changes from time to time as the spirit influences him, because each letter had a different favorite in it!

Alma 29:9

I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God t bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.

I think Elder Wertner has caught the spirit. He is anxious to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world.
